Resumo
This article aims to discuss creativity and its contributions to scientific education, clarifying concepts and highlighting the role of creativity to the science, since according to popular sense it is commonly associated with artistic creativity only, without considering that creativity address many fields of knowledge. This work is based on a bibliographical research for the understanding of concepts about this subject, we used as the main theoretical base: Alencar (2003); Alencar and Fleith (2003); Bachelard (1978, 1996); Capra (2006); Demo (2014); Kuhn (2011); and Virgolim (2005; 2007). Through this study we understood that creativity is a paramount for scientific education because it is through thoughts generated by mean of scientific creativity that new concepts are formulated, ranging from the simplest to the most complex, which may even revolutionize science.
