Perfil periodontal dos pacientes adolescentes atendidos na policlínica odontológica da UEA

Abstract

Objective: To verify the periodontal profile of adolescent patients treated at the UEA Dental Polyclinic, Manaus - AM. Methods: A cross-sectional study of retrospective analysis of the medical records of 2017 and 2018 of patients aged 10 to 19 years was performed, through descriptive analysis of the variables adopting the significance level of 0.05. Results: Among the 60 medical records analyzed, 60% were female, 60% had bleeding, followed by 68.3% of adolescent patients with gingivitis and 13.3% with periodontitis. Conclusion: The adolescent patients treated at the UEA Polyclinic had a high prevalence of gingivitis, few cases of severe disease (periodontitis) and a predominance of females.
