Análise da Gestão do Trabalho em Saúde Bucal no âmbito da Atenção Primária à Saúde nos Municípios do Estado do Amazonas após o surgimento da Pandemia da COVID-19

Abstract

The North region, especially Amazonas, faced major health-related challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, which led to the reorganization of oral health practices and the work of health teams. This study aimed to analyze the management of oral health work in the context of primary health care after the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in the municipalities of the State of Amazonas. We sought to know the profile and perception of municipal oral health coordinators about the management of health work on the theme addressed. A quantitative- qualitative study was carried out with 38 professionals, using a semi-structured questionnaire. Quantitative data were analyzed with absolute and relative frequencies, while qualitative data were submitted to content analysis. The coordinators were predominantly women (71.1%), brown (68.4%) and aged between 30 and 40 years (44.7%). Regarding the management process, difficulties in management were reported during and after the pandemic, highlighting fear and uncertainty about the disease as obstacles to the resumption of clinical and collective activities. Some practices implemented, such as rigorous screening, full use of PPE and reduction of crowds, were positively evaluated and suggested for continuity. The study also highlighted the need for greater appreciation and qualification of oral health professionals. Future research can deepen the understanding of the challenges faced by these professionals during health crises and contribute to the improvement of coping strategies
