Resumo

Analyze scientific production in the undergraduate nursing course. Method: This is a retrospective documentary research with a quantitative approach. The data was collected from the Central Library collection and included 70 monographs defended and approved between the years 2014 and 2016 of the undergraduate nursing course at a state university in Amazonas. The information collected was grouped into a Microsoft Excel® database and subjected to descriptive analysis, highlighting the level of scientific evidence according to the structure of the Joana Briggs Institute and the areas of interest of the scientific products. Results: In the 70 studies, it is noted that 40 (57.1%) of the studies adopted the quantitative approach and predominance of the descriptive type with 18 (25.7%) in the following areas of interest Adult and elderly health with 15.7% ; Child and adolescent health 15.7%, Public health 14.4%. Regarding the level of scientific evidence considering the structure of the Joana Briggs Institute, it is noted that 12 (17.14%) of the works are at level IV from descriptive research, eight (11.42%) have level III.2 of evidence obtained from cohort studies. It is concluded that the research has potential importance in expanding knowledge about the profile of scientific productions in the undergraduate nursing course
