Aplicação da gestão de estoques na Drogaria XYZ: Estudo das práticas de gestão visando o aprimoramento de seus serviços

Abstract

Inventory is a crucial element for companies of any size and type of segment. Due to this accumulation of materials, it is possible to ensure that the productive activity is not interrupted, as well as to increase the competitive capacity of an organization, considering that those who have stock can better meet the demand. Therefore, it was verified the importance of stock management, which when performed efficiently is capable of bringing countless benefits to the company. The main objective of this study was to analyze how stocks are managed within the company XYZ Drugstore. We sought to present the concept of inventory management and its importance for a company, regardless of its performance, as well as the specific case of the chosen company, how its inventory control is carried out, what are its strengths and opportunities of improvement. To achieve this objective, bibliographic research was used in previously published materials (theses, articles, books, etc.) that bring information on the subject. In addition, a case study was carried out in the company XYZ Drugstore, through data collection, observations and interviews with those responsible for the warehouse sector, which allowed a practical analysis of stock management. From a critical analysis of all the content presented, it was possible to identify that the XYZ Drugstore has good management, however, with some opportunities for improvement regarding the use of inventory management systems, these points were presented to the manager, based on on the tools already used by the company to achieve a better performance in the sector.
