Abstract

The objective of this work was to address the theme "Agroforestry Systems: Cultdiversity, Sustainability and Benefits made possible by SAF's with Cocoa". Thisresearch also aims to identify the importance of cultural diversity and benefits made possible by the Agroforestry System with cocoa, as well as to analyze and know the agroforestry practices already implemented in rural production. Agroforestry is a system that offers great advantages related to the environment, with emphasis on contributing to the diversity of local species, the recovery of degraded areas and providing economic viability and obtaining income from different cultivated species and consequently diversified products during all months of the year. This is a bibliographic study, with a qualitative approach; the data were obtained from material already elaborated, consisting mainly of books and scientific articles. Agroforestry systems propose a food production strategy combined with the preservation and maintenance of natural resources, ensuring food security and sovereignty of families through the diversification of production, making an economic stimulus for farmers' families, maintaining diversity for the environment and creating different products.
