Resumo

This dissertation investigates the impact of technology on education, with a specific focus on the teaching of Mathematics in public schools in Manaus. By analyzing the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), the study examines teachers' perceptions, teacher training, and the challenges faced in integrating these tools. Using a qualitative approach, the research involves interviews with 9 teachers from the Media Center of Amazonas (CEMAM), 8 teachers from the Professional Training Center Pe. José Anchieta (CEPAN), and 24 teachers working in schools in district 02, totaling 41 participants. The impetus for this research arises from the need to understand how technology is being applied in public schools in Manaus and what benefits this integration can bring. Structured into three chapters, the dissertation addresses literature review, research methodology, and results, emphasizing the importance of teacher training and adequate technological infrastructure to promote inclusive and effective education. The use of technology in education, especially in the teaching of Mathematics, plays a crucial role in educational development. The integration of digital tools provides access to a wide range of educational resources, personalizes learning, and prepares students for the digital world. However, the research results highlight challenges in the effective implementation of technology, underscoring the need for investment and ongoing support for educators to successfully integrate ICTs into the school environment. Although the Department of Education has effective technological resources, there is still a significant gap in the effective implementation of technology in schools. Keywords: Mathematics.
