Resumo

This work presents the development of a prototype system to determine the angle of arrival of the bluetooth signal applied to the location in indoor environments using direction finding technology. With the help of the bluetooth direction finding functionality present in the nRF 52833 microcontroller, the data from the Buetooth signal is sent to an application that calculates the arrival angle and determines the direction of the Bluetooth signal. At first, a presentation of the problems that motivated this work will be made, then a theoretical foundation on the difference between Indoor and Outdoor location systems, what is an RTLS system (Real Time Locating System) and which techniques are used. used to determine the location of an object or person, discuss Bluetooth Direction Finding and how it obtains the angle of arrival, as well as information about the nRf52833. Subsequently, the steps that guided the development of the project are shown, as well as which hardware, software and equipment components were involved in the process. As a result, the calculated angles are shown by the application developed in python, which finally demonstrates that the prototype is not able to accurately provide the arrival angles, making it impossible to determine the emission direction of the Bluetooth signal.
