Os desafios da Atenção Primária nas populações ribeirinhas: revisão integrativa da literatura

Resumo

The present study aims to analyze the social, environmental and territorial aspects that impact the application of public policies, especially in the health of the riverside populations of the Amazon, retrieving scientific articles from the Latin American and Caribbean databases in Health Sciences (LILACS) and English terms in Pubmed/Medline and Scopus. Method: This is an integrative review that used controlled descriptors): Primary health care; Riverside health; Health policies; Brazilian Amazon. In the controlled vocabulary Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) the terms were defined: primary health care; riverside health; health policies; Brazillian Amazon. Results: 10 scientific articles were included, 6 (60%) in Medline, 3 (30%) Lilacs, and only 1 (10%) in the Scopus database. Of these, mostly published in Portuguese, 7 (70%) and 3 (30%) in English, published in several journals in Brazil, 1 in Australia and 1 in the United Kingdom. The studies took place in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Botucatu, Brasília, Fortaleza, Townsville and London. There was a variety of methods conducted individually in each study, such as descriptive qualitative 2 (20%), analytical descriptive 2 (20%), among other designs. Discussion: Since the implementation of national health policies, more attention has been paid to health aimed at the riverside populations and with that, observing the numerous challenges imposed both by natural aspects of the Amazon region and by human resources themselves. Conclusion: This review showed that the challenges of primary care in riverside populations are generally encompassing all the principles and guidelines established for the provision of primary health care for the riverside population
