Resumo
This article aims to present the potential of a didactic sequence named "The time in the rhythm of the stars" back to the early years of the Elementary School. The original motto of the activities took place from the thematic units proposed by the National Common Curricular Base (BRAZIL, 2017) Earth and Universe of nature Sciences and Dimensions and measures in the area of Mathematics, taking advantage also of the concepts of the Humanities Science Areas (geography and history), with the aim of relating in the interdisciplinary way the scientific concepts involved by the close relation between areas. The activities have been applied to students in the fifth grade of the Elementary School of a Public School in the city of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul. As data collection instrument was used the photographic records, notes of the researchers in addition to audio recording of the participants. The results indicate that the sequence of activities, as well as the methodology used for its application at school has potential to bring qualitative gains in the process of teaching and learning, as it awakens the interest and curiosity of the students.
