Abstract

The event program offered 13 lectures, 2 round tables, 6 mini courses and presentations of 69 scientific papers in the form of banners, which were divided into 3 thematic axes: Health, Industrial and Environmental. In addition, the works that stood out in the evaluation, these being the ones with the highest score in each thematic axis and the highest overall score, were presented orally. Still, aiming to disseminate and popularize knowledge in Biotechnology to Basic Education students, the event held the activity “Biotechnology at school”, with activities such as interactive lectures, educational games and application of practical activities in the area of Biotechnology. The objective of this activity was to generate discussions on the subject to students of basic education, in addition to sensitizing them to the insertion and impact of the contributions of the Biotechnology for society.
