| dc.description.abstract | The process of illness and the proximity of the end of life causes increased needs and care. Providing caregivers and patients with clear and sufficient information at the right time makes all the difference. The use of educational technologies is a viable alternative for disseminating information. Objective: to validate the content of a booklet to improve the quality of life in the daily lives of family members/caregivers of cancer patients receiving home palliative care. Methods: methodological study. Data collected from September 2021 to May 2022. The participants were 17 expert judges, 14 from the health field and 3 from other areas. The study was supported by a questionnaire organized according to the Likert scale with items distributed according to objectives, structure, presentation, and relevance. Results: of the 21 items in the questionnaire for health field judges, only three obtained a score of I (inadequate). The technology was considered validated because, according to the literature, a minimum content validation index of 70% should be obtained, and the index obtained was 88%. Based on the suggestions, the technology was adapted. Conclusion: it is considered that the booklet is validated and, with the adaptation, it can promote self-care, reducing ignorance and providing a better quality of life for family members/caregivers of end-of-life cancer patients. | |
| dc.description.resumo | O processo de adoecimento e proximidade do fim de vida faz com que as necessidades e os cuidados aumentem. Fornecer aos cuidadores e pacientes informações claras e suficientes, no momento oportuno, faz toda diferença. O uso de tecnologias educacionais é alternativa viável para disseminação de informação. Objetivo: validar o conteúdo de uma cartilha para melhorar a qualidade de vida no cotidiano de familiares/cuidadores de pacientes oncológicos em cuidados paliativos domiciliares. Métodos: estudo de caráter metodológico. Dados coletados de setembro de 2021 a maio de 2022. Os participantes foram 17 juízes especialistas, sendo 14 da área da saúde e 3 de outras áreas. Estudo auxiliado por um questionário organizado conforme a escala Likert com itens distribuídos em objetivos, estrutura, apresentação e relevância. Resultados: dos 21 itens do questionário dos juízes da área da saúde apenas três obtiveram escore I (inadequado). Considerou-se a tecnologia validada, pois segundo a literatura deve-se obter um índice de validação de conteúdo mínimo de 70%, e o índice obtido foi de 88%. Com base nas sugestões realizou-se a adequação da tecnologia. Conclusão: considera-se que a cartilha está validada e com a adequação poderá a promover o autocuidado, podendo reduzir desconhecimentos e dar mais qualidade de vida aos familiares/cuidadores de pacientes oncológicos em fim de vida. | |
