Resumo

The main objective of this course conclusion work is to analyze the main difficulties found in the teaching-learning process of Calculus III from the perspective of students of the Licentiate Degree in Mathematics at the State University of Amazonas. Having as specific objectives: a) Conduct data collection in order to obtain the student's failure rate, in calculus III subjects, in 2014 and 2015; b) Identify the main learning difficulties through the elaboration and application of questionnaires to students who are taking or have taken the calculus course III of the Licentiate Degree in Mathematics course at the University of the State of Amazonas more than once; c) Identify the main learning difficulties through the elaboration and application of questionnaires to students who are taking the subject of calculus III of the Licentiate Degree in Mathematics course at the University of the State of Amazonas for the first time; d) Observe and monitor, through the monitoring program, the progress of students during the initial 2-month period of the discipline; e) Suggest possible alternatives that make it possible to minimize the difficulties encountered, through the use of technological tools, teaching trends and alternative assessment methods.
