To assess a three-dimensional (3D) method for linear and angular measurements through the Greater Palatine foramen. Materials and Methods: Fifty facial tomographic images (25 male and 25 female) ranging from 20 to 70 years were analyzed. For each image, the maxilla and palate regions were isolated, segmented and exported to be used in using different 3D software (ITK-SNAP and VAM). Linear and angular measurements were analyzed between the Greater Palatine foramen (FPM), Incisive Foramen (FI), Posterior Edge of the Hard Palate (BPD) and Posterior Nasal Spine (ENP). Results: distances in the male group were significantly greater than in females. For the distance FPM-ENP, just the women group present, the right side significantly high values than the left side. The angle formed between FI-FPM-ENP was similar between genders with a mean of 89.47 ° for men and 88.93 for women. Conclusions: It was concluded that the method used was able to promote morphometric analysis of the palatine foramen, further allowing other anatomical structures to be evaluated using the same protocol
