To map associated data and the state of the art on vaccine hesitancy at the national level in the literature. Method: Systematic review study, according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology. The databases Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) were used from January 2021 to June 2023. Results: A total of 109 studies were identified. After analysis, 12 studies met the inclusion criteria and remained in the systematic review for analysis. Conclusion: Vaccine hesitancy is a complex phenomenon involving a variety of cultural, social and individual factors that influence people's willingness to receive vaccines. Strategies that focus on education and transparent communication are essential to address legitimate concerns and provide accurate information about the benefits of vaccines as well as the rigorous approval and safety monitoring processes
