Resumo
Childhood is considered a significant stage of life in the process of human
development. Thus, in this process, the family has a strong power to influence
individuals. It not only provides norms, standards, but also significantly interferes in
the construction of children's character. Domestic violence breaks with this, thus
bringing several serious consequences with regard to the child's developmentalism. It
can be seen then that the family cannot be solely considered, it is the center and
nucleus of protection for children and adolescents, and can be the origin of various
forms of aggression. Thus, this study aimed to understand how domestic violence
interferes with the learning of children in the early years of elementary school in the
context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology applied is bibliographical in
nature, using as research sources articles published in full from the 2000s onwards,
containing the keywords relevant to the proposed theme: violence, child, family or
domestic violence, abuse, negligence, maltreatment, child and/or child learning,
pandemic and COVID-19. The results obtained from this research show that
historically violence against children is not recent and is perpetuated until today, it
manifests itself through different types of aggression according to the lived contexts
and draws attention to the role of the school and teachers in the observation and
referrals of the problem, considering the countless consequences for the victims,
leaving deep marks and interference in school learning, specifically in these times of
the COVID-19 pandemic.
