Impactos das inovações tecnológicas: desenvolvimento e implantação em um setor estratégico de uma empresa privada do ramo varejista atuante na região norte do Brasil

Abstract

This article aims to present a case study of the analysis of impacts arising from the implementation of technological innovations in a strategic sector of an organization operating in the northern region of Brazil. The research revealed that the benefits generated with the innovations were economically satisfactory and also in relation to the quality of the work environment for those responsible for the activities. Economically, it was possible to observe a reduction in direct costs of 82% in an annual comparison, in addition to a 50% reduction in terms, which were previously time-consuming and bureaucratic. Everyone involved in the innovations noticed improvements in the streamlining of activities, in addition to increasing the company's level of transparency for its employees. It was possible to reach a high level of process standardization between the organization's operating states. The main contribution of this work is to demonstrate the positive economic and strategic impacts that technological innovations generate in organizations that invest in this format.
