Resumo
This paper presents a study about the erosive and depositional processes in the paraná do Ramos, at Cametá of the Ramos, Barreirinha municipality, Amazonas State. It was based on the study of geomorphology, in the specific case of local relief, as well as by fluvial geomorphology in the analysis of water resources. However, river processes in the Amazon are part of the reality of the residents, who sometimes live with major changes in the physical landscape, which often interfere with their daily lives. The research was based on data collected on site, which supported the work, with the description of erosive agents acting on site and through the explanation of residents. The study used the technique of bathymetry, to highlight the points that most affect the erosion of the margins. It was concluded that the parana of Ramos is altered by erosive process with the action of natural factors, but accelerated by the anthropic action. Another identified factor is that the river channel is the result of tectonic faults that act on the river dynamics, causing the phenomenon of “fallen lands” through hydraulic pressure. The joint action of these factors has major socio-environmental implications for the place.
