Turismo cultural: potencialidade do patrimônio material e imaterial do centro histórico de Parintins - AM

Abstract

The material and immaterial heritages constitute the historical and cultural memory of a society. Are it objects or elements that through their existence leave marks that tell the story of a people, witnessing transforming processes that have occurred in the city over time. Guided by the idea that the city of Parintins has an important collection of historic buildings that resist amidst the numerous architectural transformations of the urban landscape, the tourism activity comes as one that can bring benefits not only economic, but mainly social. For Tourism Geography, the points that are conducive to the tourism are important. With this, we have as main objective to analyze the potential of the material and immaterial patrimony of the city of Parintins as favorable elements to the practice of leisure and tourism. In order to reach this goal, we first made a bibliographical survey, as well as those that encompass the main concepts and those that write about the history of Parintins. Also was carried out a field work to obtain much better information about the object of the research, aiming to make a route and verification of the main buildings located in the center of Parintins, taking note of the report of the professor guiding this research about the history of each of these constructions and a photographic record for better demonstration of these data. As a theoretical basis we have the contributions of Yázigi (2009), Barros (1998), Correa and Rosendahl (2010), Saunier (2003), Bittencourt (2001) among others. The Cultural Tourism presents itself as a way of knowing the history of the city of Parintins, through material and immaterial heritages. This tourist segment helps to protect and preserve the history and trajectory of the Parintinese society. It also allows the tourist to know the paths traced and the main historical events of Parintins and especially help in the conservation of these territorial assets.
