Resumo
The present research was carried out aiming to identify the level of motivation of the
interns at the State Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration of Amazonas - SEAP.
This is a case study of a quantitative nature, being analyzed by bibliographical
means and through the statistical data of the questionnaires applied to 56 (fifty-six)
interns. The study used Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and Herzberg's two-
factor theory as theoretical references to identify the level of interns' motivation, and
also presented the Internship Law and the need to motivate people in the
organization. After analyzing the results and comparing with the theories presented, it
was concluded that the level of motivation of the interns is high, as they feel
motivated both internally and by the organizational external environment, since both
the motivational factors/superior needs and the lower hygienic factors/needs are
present in the organization, thus achieving motivated interns in their environment.
