Resumo
The purpose of this research is to understand the contributions of storytelling to the
psychosocial development of the child and, more specifically, to present the child's
psychosocial development process by means of storytelling, considering the pertinent
theoretical framework; describe appropriate methodological resources and strategies
for storytelling, highlighting the experiences of the Supervised Internship; and discuss
the contributions of storytelling to the child's psychosocial development in Early
Childhood Education. The methodology used in the research was bibliographical and
phenomenological, also using a qualitative approach. The data collection instruments
were the participant observation, records of the field book used in the activities of the
pedagogical action plan and Supervised Stage I. In addition, the non-directive
interview was used with the pre-school teacher I in Early Childhood Education. The
research subjects were the regent teacher and the children of her class, with
observations and practices with storytelling in the years 2016 and 2017. The
research was conducted in the Center-South Zone of the city of Manaus-Amazonas,
in a CMEI (Municipal Center for Early Childhood Education). As a result of the
interpretations, it was identified how much the resourses and intentions used in the
counting can contribute to the social interaction of the children, as well as to their
emotional and cognitive development. It was evidenced the need for storytelling with
the use of resources that contribute to the psychosocial development of the child,
taking into account their age group and specificities, as well as the commitment of the
teacher in view of this practice. The research aims to contribute to the studies of
professionals working in the Early Childhood Education of the public school, as well
as to the academic community in the area of education and other stakeholders on the
subject.
