Resumo
The present study aims to verify the increase in online sales in 2020 compared to 2019, due to
a worldwide pandemic that haunted our population. Looking at this, the importance of online
sales as a form of sustainability for organizations who had to adapt in this situation using
technology to their advantage, as a tool to connect their products and services, as well as for
customers who normally frequented physical stores to make their purchases. Data collection
was collected through news sites such as E-commerce Brasil and Consumidor Moderno,
among others, data of the increase in percentages and sales of the organization studied the
Free Market Brazil and thus carry out the present study and analysis of the data to solve the
problem of this article. From this information it was possible to conclude whether it was
advantageous or disadvantageous for this company the sales in the online modality and its
consequences for it.
