Resumo

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is characterized as “behavior within an intimate relationship that causes physical, sexual, or psychological harm, including physical aggression, sexual coercion, injury, psychological aggression, and controlling behaviors.” IPV is distinguished according to the different natures of violent acts, including forms of sexual violence, which can also be divided into sexual and reproductive coercion. The general objective of this research was to evaluate the level of reproductive autonomy among users of Family Health Units (USF) in Manaus/AM who have an intimate partner, as well as the association of this with the different types of IPV. It was conducted in 12 USF in the city of Manaus, with 385 women over 18 years old, users of the primary care service located in the urban area of the municipality of Manaus - AM. For descriptive and exploratory analysis, Stata 15 software was used, using the robust linear regression technique to verify the associations between sexual/reproductive coercion and the other variables, including IPV. The reproductive autonomy score of the women in this study was 3.18. In the multivariate analysis, it was identified that the variables income, coitus, race, alcohol consumption, suffering psychological and sexual violence from a partner and committing physical violence against a partner were associated with the level of reproductive autonomy. Sociodemographic factors and violence influence women's decision-making regarding their sexual and reproductive health, with the variable race standing out as having the greatest impact on women's reproductive autonomy.
