Perfil socioeconômico das vítimas de feminicídio na cidade de Manaus no período de 2010-2020

Abstract

This article focuses on the phenomenon of femicide. Femicides are homicides resulting from gender conflicts, considered a heinous crime as of 2015 and is a social phenomenon that affects all women and more frequently those in conditions of greater vulnerability socioeconomic. This work aims to investigate the socioeconomic profile of these victims, the in order to contribute to the literature in the area and also provide support to public policies for combating violence against women. The research used a quantitative and use of descriptive statistics resources. With the analysis of data from the Information System of Mortality (SIM) it is concluded that in Manaus, the victims of feminicide are women with low education, young people and brown people. And between 2010 and 2020 there was no reduction in cases.
