Abstract

This qualitative research with a phenomenological approach aimed to analyze the importance and challenges of the family in the education and learning of students, in the of a teacher and a pedagogue from a private school in Manaus. To this end the aim was to understand how family participation influences the learning process. the ways in which the school seeks to ensure family participation; identify the family's challenges in school participation. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation and a field diary. At the end of the study, it was identified that all the interviewees believe in the importance of family participation in the in the teaching-learning process, emphasizing that when they are present, students make progress. progress. There are various strategies that the school has adopted for this this approach, including making room for new technologies. However, there are still many there are still many challenges to be faced in order to achieve a better partnership, such as the overworked parents, and the fact that some, when they do take part, just complain, perhaps because they don't understand the school's planning and the teachers' objectives.
