Objective: to outline an overview of postgraduate scientific production in Brazil
in the stricto sensu modality on mobile pre-hospital care using
bibliometric indicators. Method: quantitative, descriptive study, using the
bibliometrics method using the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination
of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) as a database for
search. 23 theses and dissertations were selected that fit the criteria for
certain inclusions, analyzed in a descriptive way regarding the year of publication,
educational institution, geographic region, level (master's, professional master's or
doctorate), area of knowledge, type of study and level of evidence produced,
using in this last category the classification of the level of evidence according to the type of
methodological design of the Joanna Briggs Institute. Results: in 2014
we identified the largest number of publications on the topic. The southern region holds the
number of studies produced (eight), and the Federal University of Minas
Gerais with four publications is the institution that is most present in the investigated scenario.
The master's degree with 60.87% is the level of studies with the highest number of productions and the
Nursing with 74% is the area of knowledge with the most publications on the
mobile pre-hospital care. Eleven quantitative studies represented the largest
part of the sample with 47.83%, of these, all were descriptive studies with evidence
produced classified at level IV according to the type of study. Conclusion: the
5
scientific production in the scope of stricto sensu postgraduate studies has suffered a drop in
last three years and the evidence produced does not represent the gold standard in science
for use in professional practice
