Resumo
The SAE Brasil Aerodesign competition is a challenge launched to Engineering students whose main objective is to promote the dissemination and exchange of
Aeronautical Engineering techniques and knowledge. In this context, Urutau Aerodesign
is a team made up of engineering students and professors from the University of the State
of Amazonas, with the objective of, through the construction of the aircraft to participate in this competition, to spread knowledge in the region. The present work deals with
the deepening of the research aimed at optimizing the primary structures of a wing of a
radio-controlled cargo aircraft of the Urutau Aerodesign team, focusing on the SAE Brasil
Aerodesign competition. The preponderant factor for the execution of the work was the
feeling of creating a guide for the development of safer and more competitive structures
for the team, which was lost over the years leaving them in low rankings. For the development of the work, the line of development of aeronautical projects was followed by the
team, aligning with structural knowledge until then consolidated in the competition.
