Resumo

This Course Conclusion Paper discusses the Pedagogical Residency Program and its contribution to the affirmation of the teaching identity in the Pedagogy Course. The study aimed to analyze the contributions of the Pedagogical Residency Program for residents of the Pedagogy Course. It is based on theorists such as Saviani (2009), Zeichner (2010), Calderano (2012), Cruz and Silva (2018), Borges (2013), among others who discuss teacher education. This is an investigative study of a qualitative nature, with a phenomenological approach, carried out with five residents and a governess from the Educational Center Nossa Senhora das Graças, located in the neighborhood of Itaúna II in the city of Parintins. The questionnaire containing eight questions was used as a data collection instrument. Based on the study, it was possible to understand how much it is necessary for the university to provide undergraduates with experiences in schools, as a future field of professional activity in view of a better contribution to their training process.
