Resumo
This paper aims to analyze the pedagogical practice of educators in the hospital environment,
highlighting its relevance in the development of this activity, since Hospital Pedagogy has been
undergoing several changes, so it was necessary to observe if this practice is consistent with the
documents governing Basic Education, through the theoretical framework of the authors Gohn
(2008), Matos and Mugiatti (2008) and Fonseca (2009), were the main authors who contributed
to the development of the work, the studies were essential to understand the importance of the
social aspect of education, through the contributions of non-formal education. In addition,
Hospital Pedagogy expands the teacher's field of action beyond the confines of the school. The
education that is needed in this hospital pedagogical proposal requires the teacher to be prepared
to have adequate training to work in this area, fostering school integration, whatever the
environment, favoring the social well-being and quality of life of children. They need help from
professionals from different fields: doctors, nurses, psychologists and social workers. From the
methodological point of view, it was a case study, of qualitative nature, whose instruments were
observation and semi-structured questionnaire, whose research subjects were two students /
patients, one child and one adolescent. The importance of this research is due to the analysis of
how the pedagogical practices of the educators in the hospital are developed.
