Os espaços de exclusão e outras considerações sobre os contos o desentupidor de fossas e a louca, de Márcio Santana

Abstract

In this work, we intend to take a first look at the work of Márcio Santana, an Amazonian writer who has been publishing independently for more than two decades. To this end, the short stories O desentupidor de fossas (2012) and A louca (2014), both narrated in first person by the narrator-personage Mário Augusto. In the first part of the work, an analysis of the spaces of exclusion to which are relegated Raimundo Perfumado e a Louca, who are the protagonists of the short stories under study. In the second part, some characteristics of the constitution of the stories will be highlighted. This route allows us to see that the situation of exclusion is described in different ways by the narrator, from the vision that he has of each one: fear and repulsion by the ugliness and stench of smell of Raimundo, and innocent attraction to the strange beauty of Louca.
