Dimensões da precarização do trabalho docente em Parintins-AM

Abstract

The changes took place in the context of neoliberal adjustment interfere in public spaces and consequently in educational policies. Along with this process, a new social morphology of work emerges, characterized by mutations in productive rationality and that have an impact on teaching activities. This article aims to analyze the aspects that precarious the objective and subjective conditions of the work of the teachers of Basic Education in the city of Parintins. To do this, a survey was carried out using forms with open and closed questions that were applied to 25 teachers who work in the public network of the municipality. The main factors that stand out and which express the precariousness were: instability in work, devaluation and delay in wages, overload, and lack of resources for the development of activities. In addition, teachers reported that these situations have directly impacted their physical and mental health. Thus, the absence of the public power on the situations of precarization that permeate the daily life of the teachers is verified. Keywords: Teaching work. Precarization. Education
