A função política social na literatura indígena de Yaguarê Yamã

Abstract

The present work seeks to study the Amazonian indigenous literature under the status of a work of art, seeking to break with the concepts that consider it a "minor" literature. With this in mind, we present two works by the writer Yaguarê Yamã, as a source of knowledge for the dominant society, seeking visibility for its cultural tradition. In this sense, this work analyzes in its literature the social political function that it exerts when producing them. Looking in particular to show, through research, the need for studies on Amazonian indigenous literature, which currently makes up the largest group of the literary environment that produces in the State of Amazonas, those of the Maraguá ethnicity. In this way, re-signify the literature that produces the indigenous.
