Resumo

The paper in question seeks to describe the importance of aspects of Modern Physics being inserted into the curriculum of High School. In addition to the bibliographical search with papers on the subject, a survey of information was carried out with teachers working in public schools in the city of Tefé in the subject of Physics of High School, in addition to these, teachers who did not work at this level of teaching and former students of High School who are currently academics at the State University of Amazonas in several undergraduate courses. To know the possible difficulties faced by active teachers, the expectations of non-acting ones and if the academics had any contact with Modern and Contemporary Physics in High School. In addition, bibliographical research was carried out in the official documents that govern Brazilian education to know how this issue is being presented in these documents.
