Resumo

This paper addresses the influence of agile methodologies on the technological maturation of startups. Through a documentary case study focused on six startups participating in pre-incubation programs of a project located in Manaus/AM, the research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach and uses the SWOT tool to examine internal and external factors related to the application of agile practices in the management of emerging technology-based companies. The aim of the research is to investigate how the adoption of frameworks, such as Scrum and Kanban, contributes to the evolution of the technological maturity levels (TRL) of the products and services developed by the startups. The results indicate that all the startups analyzed evolved their level of technological maturity, reflecting advances in prototyping, market validation and product refinement. In addition, greater strategic alignment, more effective communication between team members and the ability to quickly adapt to changes in market demands were observed, resulting from the implementation of sprints, constant alignment meetings and the use of visual boards to control tasks. Finally, it is concluded that agile methodologies favor iterative development cycles, increase the probability of technological success and contribute to accelerating the technological maturation of products and services.
