To describe the epidemiological aspects of the spatio-temporal distribution of malaria in the state of Amazonas from 2017 to 2022. Method: Epidemiological study: observational, descriptive and ecological, carried out using secondary data from the Malaria Epidemiological Surveillance Information System. The variables used were: Annual Parasite Incidence, number of total malaria cases, by parasite species, by age group, gender, race and cases by special area, covering the 62 municipalities of the state of Amazonas, from 2017 to 2022. Results: There was a 32.8% reduction in total malaria cases in the period analyzed. P. vivax was the most common, followed by P. falciparum, which increased by 3.8% in the years analyzed. The most affected age group was 20 to 49 years old, male, brown and indigenous, in the "Other" occupation category. The areas to the west of the state showed the highest risk of malaria infection and the areas to the east the lowest. The municipalities located in the northwest and southeast of the state had the highest occurrence of cases. Conclusion: The epidemiological profile identified highlights the need for specific approaches for each region in order to effectively control malaria in Amazonas
