Triciclos: transporte de cargas e passageiros e a reprodução do espaço urbano da cidade de Parintins-AM

Abstract

This work is focused on the issue of mobility in Parintins and its theme is Tricycles: Cargo and Passenger Transport and the Reproduction of the Urban Space of the City of Parintins-AM. The main objective of this work was to analyze the importance of the tricycle as a means of intra-urban transport of cargo and passengers for the production and reproduction of space in the city. Therefore, we sought to identify the number of tricycle riders and associations, how many of them have no connection with associations and the main services and distances offered/traveled by them. This study was carried out through qualitative exploratory research to analyze the number of tricycle riders and their importance as a means of transport for the production and reproduction of the urban space of Parintins, through interviews with those responsible for the associations, application of questionnaires to tricycle riders , field research to identify the places of greatest concentration and bibliographic and documentary research in order to search for literature that deals with the proposed theme. In this work, it was observed that Parintins has more than 1,200 tricycle drivers distributed between two associations and that there are professional tricycle drivers who are not linked to any of them. These workers, in turn, are located at specific points such as the edge of the União neighborhood, the end of Paraíba street in the Palmares neighborhood, the end of Amazonas avenue in the French neighborhood, the port of the city, next to the ramp of the Municipal Market and next to the Posto Caçapava in the center of Parintins, these points vary according to the period of flood and ebb of the rivers. These transports can be classified as alternative and serve both for the coming and going of cargo and passengers, being, therefore, characteristic of Parintins and, in turn, necessary for the production and reproduction of the city space. They circulate in the center and also in areas far from the central area, with their uses collaborating in the process of production and reproduction of urban space through the articulation they exert on the road network.
