Abstract

The practice of birdwatching is an activity that has grown considerably in recent years all over the world. Considering the vast field of birdwatching and Environmental Education, the present study sought to understand the relationship between the importance of urban birdwatching to the practice of Environmental Education. Thus, the study is divided in distinct moments: initially was performed the bibliographic survey about the bird species, the urban neighborhoods in the Initially, a bibliographical survey was made about bird species, urban neighborhoods in the southern part of the city of Manaus, and also about Environmental Education.
