Resumo
Generalized aggressive periodontitis comprises a group of rapidly progressing,
rare and often severe forms of periodontitis, often characterized by the early
age of clinical manifestation. The objective of this report is to report the surgical
treatment used in the treatment of the clinical case of aggressive periodontitis.
This paper presents the clinical case of a 21-year-old female patient with severe
generalized aggressive periodontitis, in whom intra-oral examination revealed a
bleeding gingiva, gingival enlargement in the upper and lower arch, gingival
displacement in all The dental elements, radiographic examination there is
horizontal bone loss in the upper and lower arches, vertical loss between teeth
31 to 42, and between teeth 11 and 21, the depth of probing was between 4
and 10 millimeters. We can conclude that the Widman technique modified in
intrasulcular incision was the correct therapy for the presented case, because
there was reduction of excessive gingival tissue
