Resumo
The use of resources in a lean way is extremely important for the performance of a
company, because it avoids waste and unnecessary manufacturing costs. For a
company to remain competitive in the market, it is necessary to ally competitive price
and quality. For this to be possible the production cost must be as low as possible, so
that the organization's profit margin becomes higher. This study aims to study the
advantages of applying CPH analysis in order to identify opportunities for improvement
in the production process of SMT in a factory of automotive electronic products in the
Industrial Complex of Manaus. To achieve the proposed objective, a quantitative
approach was used, of applied nature, through data collection and CPH analysis,
guided by the DMAIC methodology for project planning and execution. Using the
Chronoanalysis technique, 27 products were identified with a level below that required
by the company. From the simulation of the process in the SMT Load Forecasting tool,
improvement actions were pointed out to optimize the level of equipment utilization.
After the implementation of the improvement actions, the required efficiency
percentage was reached and the production capacity of the lines increased by 11%.
