Resumo

There are a variety of proposals and different learning methodologies, among them we will highlight the one that uses technology as an auxiliary tool for students. In this context, this article aims to analyze the effects of using the application for mobile devices, called MalMath, and its contributions to the learning of the quadratic function coefficients in the 1st year of Ensino Médio at Escola Estadual Professora Nazira Litaiff Moriz in the city of Tefé-AM. The research is qualitative in nature, as it seeks not only to quantify data, but to understand various aspects related to classroom practice. The analyzed results were displayed through graphs, through which a certain growth of most students can be observed. It was also observed that a large part of the class was involved in the activities, mainly in the use of the application. It was found that the application can indeed help students to work with mathematics, as long as they have a basic knowledge of the content.
