Resumo

The main objective of this article is to analyze the use of Amazonian literature, specifically legends translated into Brazilian Sign Language, with hearing students in secondary school. We understand the importance of working with Amazonian literature in a different way, using Libras so that we can socialize knowledge. To this end, we used legends adapted into sign language using images and signs. We will bring in authors such as Cosson (2006), Paulinho (2010), Sicsú (2013), Vinente (2023), Strobel (2008) e Mourão (2012), among others who highlight literature and sign language. As a methodology, we will use qualitative research based on the selection of Amazonian literature to be explored in the classroom with high school students, considering the dialectological approach method, which aims to analyze the reality of literature teaching and propose possibilities for presenting the narratives of the Amazonian imaginary in Libras from an inclusive perspective and valuing the Deaf Community.
