Resumo
Açaí is one of the most commercialized fruits in the northern region of the country, forestry
production is a relevant economic activity for regional development. And, for the people who
live in the Amazon, this activity still represents one of the main means of survival for the men
of the forest. This work aims to show the cluster analysis of the aggregate yield of açaí in the
state of amazonas, reference year 2019. The methodology used in this research is inductive
and has an exploratory purpose, following the quali-quantitative methodology, since the data
will be approached in a bibliographical way using publications of authors that deal with the
topic of cluster analysis (AA), hierarchical clustering method, and the Ward method. The
study area includes the AM sub-regions with a quantitative of 9 sub-regions, namely: Alto
Solimões; Jutaí/Solimões/Juruá; Purus; Juruá; Wood; Upper Rio Negro; Rio Negro/Solimões;
Middle Amazon; and Lower Amazon. At the end of these three project development
processes, the Gross Added Value and the Aggregate Income of the sub-regions were
obtained, as well as the analysis of Ward's method of the same. It is worth mentioning that
despite the production of açaí being effective in some sub-regions, in others it shows a lower
production, showing that the supply chain in the state of Amazonas is not very effective.
