Resumo

This work aimed to analyze the efforts that work in the set of support legs of semi-trailers manufactured by a road implements company located in the city of Manaus. A bibliographic review on solid mechanics, traffic legislation, mechanical properties of materials and basic foundations of finite elements was performed in order to achieve the proposed objective of the research. For the work, it was first selected the semi-trailer with greater load capacity, precisely to obtain the largest load in the region of the set of support feet, based on the tractor truck and traffic legislation. The analysis of the present work took place in two stages, an analytical analysis of stress and analysis using a finite element tool, applying a linear static analysis that allowed obtaining information on stress and strain in the model under study using commercial software for modeling and analysis. For the modeling and finite element analysis of the design, SolidWorks 2017 software was used, and the importance of the use of CAD and CAE tools for engineering projects was observed. The calculations performed served to determine the value of the load applied to the foot set so that analytical results were obtained that were compared with the results of the computational model. With the execution of the analysis tool it was possible to find satisfactory results such as observing the behavior of the structure when subjected to loading, in addition to showing that the boundary conditions used were successful for analysis proving the effectiveness of the finite element method.
