Resumo
The present theoretical and bibliographical research focuses on the constructions of SN
+ SP, in the form of what GT concludes as Adjunct adnominal, expressed by adjective locution,
or Nominal complement: the more comprehensive notion is that the discrepancy is related
to issues of activity and passivity, which was once, in the Latin language, the genitive case.
However, in the light of generative theory, it can be seen that the complement concerns the argument
In this sense, the complement is the internal argument of a lexical nucleus, which, when stemming from a verb, may present up to three arguments
In this sense, the complement is the internal argument of a lexical nucleus, which, when stemming from a verb, may present up to three arguments, under the roles of, for instance, Agent, Patient, Experiencer, Causer,
Possessor - that is, independently of the role exercised, the SP will be complement whenever
the noun that indicates an action requests it.
Keywords: grammar; adjunct; complement; generative syntax.
