As dinâmicas socioculturais e ambientais na Agrovila do Mocambo

Abstract

In recent decades, the rapid process of urbanization that has been transforming cities is also interfering in rural spaces, with its capitalist logic, building, destroying and rebuilding habits, causing substantial changes in the landscapes of rural areas and bringing serious consequences for populations that they live in these spaces. It is in this aspect that we justify our interest in analyzing the sociocultural and environmental changes in Agrovila do Mocambo, located in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Parintins/AM. Just as the Mocambo agrovillage has undergone serious transformations in its socio-spatial organization, other neighboring communities are also showing changes that need attention from governments and scientific institutions, so that their developments are sustainable and healthy, always presenting equity in their social and territorial structure , highlighting alternatives for socio-environmental improvements in the face of new habits imposed by capitalism. The research was based on bibliographic readings of articles and theses already developed by several authors who were concerned with the aforementioned theme and also with contact with the object of study. The methodology we used to collect data were forms with socioeconomic, environmental and territorial issues, as well as socio-spatial interviews, informal conversations and participant observation. The research is qualitative in nature, using a dialectical approach, revealing that the changes that have taken place in Mocambo and other rural areas are the result of the close relationships, direct and indirect, that these communities establish with the city, bringing improvements, but also serious consequences for the environment, presenting dynamics and contradictions in its sociocultural and environmental spheres. In general terms, it is a research that aims to contribute to the knowledge of the specificities regarding the social, cultural and environmental structure inherent to the villages of Parintins, being of great importance for the correct development of these villages, trying to avoid problems that already affect the environment and the way of life of these inhabitants.
