Resumo

This work is the result of a research whose general objective was to analyze the contribution of the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP) to the training of undergraduate students in Geography at the Center for Higher Education in Parintins. The qualitative research with a methodological approach following the assumptions of action research was carried out with the realization of documentary analysis, active participation of the researcher as a resident of the project and data collection obtained through the application of a questionnaire to students of the Geography course at the State University of Amazonas CESP-UEA. This text presents the results of the work where the discussions of the investigation point out the contribution of the RP in the training of geography teachers and confronts us with the difficulties and possibilities of pedagogical work focused on the use of active methodologies that the student can develop within the school environment, in addition to contributing to the training of students, future geography teachers, it proposes to them a critical reflection on teaching and learning, with the aim of developing a work that prioritizes the critical training of students.
