Abstract

Environmental law has undergone constant changes with the aim of achieving advances in sustainable development. Environmental certifications have developed considerably, due to the benefits generated to public bodies, in terms of risk prevention, in the face of tragedies that are recurrent and widely publicized in the media. The objective of this research was to address the Environmental Agenda in Public Administration Program - A3P, which has stood out as a very important mechanism for raising public servants' awareness while carrying out their daily activities, encouraging them in a guided manner through constant objectives in a Work Plan, such as: rationalizing natural resources, discarding and allocating remains that were products of its own use to carry out its activities, etc., thus contributing to a more sustainable environment. It was concluded that the certification made available by the Ministry of the Environment through the Environmental Agenda Program in Public Administration is an extremely important compliance method, which, when all the requirements of the proposed work plan are met, the public body reaches the level of transparency expected by laws and society, given that, when the body adheres to A3P, it is assisted throughout the process to obtain certification, both by the Ministry of the Environment and IBAMA, thus, practicing all the mechanisms made available by the managing body, such as such as: Assessment of rules; Environmental sustainability reports; Continuous monitoring; Risk analysis; Structuring rules and instruments, etc. In this way, by joining the program and obtaining certification, we will have institutions that are more involved with environmental issues in their own daily lives, which will ultimately improve the quality of life in the work environment, encouraging reflection on environmental issues within the work environment. work, encouraging behaviors to rationalize resources and even public goods and offering means of recycling. In this work, deductive and analytical methods were used, in addition to bibliographical research, with deductive and abstract observation, studying arguments of doctrine and laws.
