Resumo
This study aims to discuss about special education, its purpose, the laws that
regulate it and what is applied daily in school work for that modality, focusing on
the normative documents, their guidelines and the benefits they offer to
students. the improvement of moral and civic instruction for students with
disabilities. In this way, the general objective was to understand how the laws
that ensure the right to access, permanence and learning of students with
disabilities are implemented in a school that offers specialized care in Manaus.
And, as specific: mapping with a survey the legal documents that ensure
access, permanence and learning of students with disabilities in school at
federal and state level; verify the knowledge of teachers of specialized
educational services about the legal documents that ensure access,
permanence and learning of students with disabilities; and to identify the
perceptions of specialized teachers regarding the implementation of the rights
guaranteed for the school inclusion of students with disabilities. It is a research
characterized by qualitative nature, descriptive character and field study. The
investigation took place in a specialized school of the public education system,
with the exploration of the environment of the place and the contact with the
professionals who work in it, still involving 3 subjects that integrate the
mentioned professional team and that have specific training to work with special
education. Data collection was carried out through a semi-structured
questionnaire, sent to participants through the virtual tool Google Forms. The
data reflect on the reality of educational instruction for students with disabilities,
the influence that the relevant legislation exerts on teaching practice and the
results and challenges that special education faces in order to establish itself as
a democratic and comprehensive teaching modality.
