Resumo

This work presents a proposal for using the Macurany Archaeological Site, located in the municipality of Parintins–AM, as an educational space through the development of a guidance manual for teachers and students of elementary and high school. The research analyzes the formative potential of field trips in history teaching, especially in the context of heritage education. The research was developed from a literature review, a visit to the site, and an analysis of the didactic possibilities of the space. As a result, a guidance manual was produced with suggestions for activities during field trips, as well as historical information about the site and recommendations for its preservation. The Macurany Archaeological Site, like other sites in the region, has great educational value, and can strengthen meaningful learning and the students' connection with Amazonian archaeological heritage, as well as their relationship with long-term indigenous history.
