Resumo
This article presents an analysis of the work The Little Prince, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry,
above all, with references to fictional characters and metaphors that exist in the narrative, initially
aimed at children. Considering that Children's and Youth Literature is loaded with metaphors that
provide a reflection on values, attitudes, actions and different world views that may be being
revealed and denounced throughout the literary writing. Thus, the general objective of academic research
consists of reflecting on the fictional characters present in the work, with reference to the symbologies and associating them
contemporary human profiles. Among the specific objectives, the following stand out: to illustrate, through
dialogues present in the exuperyana work, metaphorical representations of the values present in society and
present brief data about the work and the author. The work The Little Prince, by Saint-Exupéry, which presents
human and social issues related to the 1940s, a period in which the work was written, but which still
endure in the contemporary universe, marking timelessness. The research is bibliographic, of approach
qualitative and to dialogue with the theme, the theorists Sosa (1991), Viscondelet (2008), Dryzun (2009), were used,
Müller; Mafra de Lima (2017), among others.
